Thought I'd post a few pics with my first entry. I immediately put my camera to work when we arrived here one year ago. My eyes were as big as saucers when I saw the obentos and onigiri assortment.

This is a beach called "Manza" that I went to a few times. I say a "few" because it was way too hot to enjoy with the intense heat that the summer brought. It was pure torture for awhile. In order to cope with the humidity, I took 3 showers a day and went through deo like there was no tomorrow. Yep, pretty rough.
As it's just now getting cool (and I'm recovering from the trauma), I might venture out there to enjoy the sunset...
After a year of reading other blogs, I have decided to dive into the world of blogging. My thoughts about this are "Yikes!" (because I am a newbie) and "How exciting!" at the same time. :)

So I guess the best place to start off is by introducing myself. My name is Aimee and I having been living in Okinawa, Japan for the past year researching the early childhood educational system and teaching English on the side. I love working with children and am rewarded by seeing first-hand their amazing capacity to learn, especially the tiny 2 and 3 year old kiddos!

My goal for this blog is to share the things I learn, post some pics of beautiful Okinawa, and just write my heart out....

Hope you enjoy!

Aimee
